The University of Law came to us wanting a mobile-friendly website. We knew the university had ambitions to grow their course offering beyond law, so we took this opportunity to restructure the site, moving away from a product-focussed structure and highlighting study levels instead. This gave them the flexibility to add more subject areas, future-proofing the website for their growth plans.

We identified personas, creating clear user journeys whereby students could easily find courses relevant to them. Video is often overlooked within the higher education sector, but we integrated video content at every level to bring the study experience to life, helping increase site stickiness.

Building futures

Future employability is a deciding factor for students when choosing where to study, and is University of Law’s key strength amongst competitors. Therefore, we built a career finder tool that enabled students to work backwards, selecting a course based on their desired career.

Adding SEO value

Restructuring the site allowed us to align the navigation to match user's search intent, increasing SEO ranking. This allowed course pages to be combined, removing duplicate pages and consolidating their SEO ranking. We also worked with University of Law to optimise conversion across the site, streamlining their sales process and ensuring users were always one click away from making an enquiry.

Learn your way campaign

After the success of the website, we were asked to create a campaign for ULaw's online courses, helping them stand out in a newly-saturated online learning market. Our idea was to take an unorthodox approach to a typical law campaign - bringing a smile to students and prospects during the pandemic. We promoted the flexibility of studying online through the lead message - ‘Learn your way’. We supported this through high-impact visuals including fun imagery and headlines full of personality; such as Lecture on a lilo? Tutorial on a tractor? Bachelor’s degree on a bus?
