June 14th, a day full of history; the first monkey in space (poor little Albert), the death of heroic Emmeline Pankhurst, the adoption of the infamous stars and stripes flag, and… the birth of Donald Trump. Fedrigoni approached us with this date, in collaboration with 364 designers / illustrators /photographers across the UK to create the 365 book; in aid of Shelter. After a team deliberation, we decided on our final idea; Silicon. With the atomic number of 14, this element exists throughout our design environment, the devices we use and the hipster glasses we see through.

Our process always starts with creating an array of initial design ideas, but we didn’t want them to slip into the archive. So here they are; a selection of literal, abstract, and some designs that are just for fun.
